Product Knowledge teaches Slokoto about what you sell. When the AI drafts emails, classifies leads, or evaluates pipeline stage changes, it uses your product catalog to write more relevant messages and make better decisions.
Where to find it
Open Settings from the sidebar, then select the Product Knowledge tab.
What it does
- Gives the AI context about your products, pricing, and target audience
- Improves AI-generated email drafts with accurate product references
- Helps the pipeline classifier understand product interest signals
- Keeps all product data in one place for your workspace
Adding products
There are three ways to build your product catalog.
Website crawl
The fastest way to get started. Enter your website URL and Slokoto will crawl your product and pricing pages, then use AI to extract structured product data.
- Enter your website URL in the Website URL field.
- Choose a scan depth:
| Depth | Pages scanned | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Quick | Up to 10 | Simple sites with a few products |
| Standard | Up to 30 | Most company websites |
| Deep | Up to 60 | Large catalogs or multi-page pricing |
- Click Scan Website.
- Slokoto crawls the site, extracts text, and identifies products. Progress updates appear while the crawl runs.
- When finished, extracted products appear in the catalog below.
Each crawl costs 5 AI credits. The crawl runs server-side and validates all URLs for security before fetching.
Manual entry
Click Add Product to create a product record by hand. Fill in the fields that apply:
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Name | Product or service name |
| Description | What it is and what it does |
| Category | Optional grouping (e.g. "Software", "Consulting") |
| Price display | How the price appears to customers (e.g. "$99/month") |
| Price (cents) | Numeric price for deal value estimation |
| Features | Key features, comma-separated |
| Value proposition | Why a customer would choose this |
| Target audience | Who this product is for |
Shopify catalog sync
If you have the Shopify integration connected, Slokoto can import your product catalog automatically. See Shopify App Setup for details.
Editing products
Click the pencil icon on any product to edit its details. All fields can be updated after creation, whether the product was crawled, imported, or entered manually.
Enabling and disabling products
Each product has a toggle to include or exclude it from AI context. Disabled products stay in the catalog but are not sent to the AI. This is useful when a product is discontinued or temporarily unavailable.
Deleting products
Click the trash icon to remove a product from the catalog permanently.
Company overview
After a crawl, Slokoto generates a company overview that summarizes what your business does. This overview is included in AI prompts alongside the product list. You can edit it manually by clicking the pencil icon next to the overview text.
How the AI uses product knowledge
When product knowledge is available, Slokoto includes it in several AI operations:
- Email drafts — references relevant products when composing or personalizing messages
- Lead classification — identifies product interest from email conversations
- Pipeline stage evaluation — considers product context when reviewing stage changes
- Todo reasoning — factors in product fit when deciding what action to recommend
The AI receives the full catalog once per processing cycle, so changes take effect on the next AI run (within a few minutes).
Tips
- Run a crawl first to get a baseline, then edit individual products for accuracy
- Keep product descriptions concise — the AI works better with clear, factual data
- Disable seasonal or out-of-stock products instead of deleting them
- Update pricing after any price changes so AI-estimated deal values stay accurate
- Use the company overview to set the tone for how the AI talks about your business
