Manage your subscription, payments, and invoices in one place. Slokoto uses Paddle as our payment provider, which means all payment processing is handled securely through Paddle.

What it does

The Billing section lets you:

  • View your current plan and usage
  • Download invoices and payment receipts
  • Update your payment method
  • Manage who receives billing emails
  • Control subscription settings

Billing Tabs

Overview

Your at-a-glance financial summary showing:

Current Plan
  • Plan name (Starter, Pro, Business)
  • Monthly/annual pricing
  • Change plan button (opens Upgrade Plan view)
Seats
  • Seats included with your plan
  • Seats currently in use
  • Extra seats (if any)
  • Manage seats button
AI Actions
  • Actions included this billing period
  • Actions used
  • Actions remaining
  • Progress bar showing usage
  • Buy more button (redirects to Paddle)
Billing Cycle
  • Start date
  • Renewal date
  • Days remaining in current period
Next Charge Estimate
  • Subscription base cost
  • Extra seats cost (if any)
  • Add-ons (AI Action packs)
  • Total estimated amount
  • Currency and tax note

Invoices

A complete record of all your billing transactions:

  • Invoice date - When the invoice was generated
  • Invoice number - Unique identifier (e.g., INV-2026-0001)
  • Description - What the charge is for
  • Amount - How much was charged
  • Status - Paid, Refunded, Failed, or Pending
  • Download - PDF download button

Use the search bar to find specific invoices, or filter by status.

Note: Refunds appear as negative amounts in the invoice list.

Payment Method

View and update your payment details:

Current Card Information
  • Card brand (Visa, Mastercard, etc.)
  • Last 4 digits
  • Expiry date
  • Billing country
  • VAT/Tax ID (if provided)
Update Payment Method

Click the "Update Payment Method" button to be redirected to Paddle's secure payment portal. Slokoto never stores your full card details.

Billing Contacts

Manage who receives invoices and billing emails:

  • Primary contact - Receives all invoices and receipts
  • Additional contacts - Receive copies of billing emails
Actions available:
  • Add new billing contact
  • Remove contact (except primary)
  • Set a contact as primary
At least one billing contact is required.

Settings

Control your subscription preferences:

Auto-Renew
  • Toggle automatic renewal on/off
  • When off, your subscription ends at the current period's end
Billing Frequency
  • View current frequency (Monthly or Annual)
  • Switch to Annual for up to 20% savings
  • Changes redirect to Paddle checkout (prorated)
Invoice Language
  • Choose the language for invoices and billing emails
  • Options include English, Spanish, French, German, and more
Currency
  • Read-only, set by Paddle based on your account

Upgrade Plan View

When you click "Change Plan" from the Billing Overview, you'll see the Upgrade Plan view where you can compare all available plans and switch your subscription.

What it shows

  • All three plans side by side: Starter, Pro, and Business
  • Monthly/Annual toggle: Switch between billing frequencies to compare prices
  • Your current plan: Highlighted with a "Current" badge so you know which plan you're on
  • Feature comparison: Full list of what's included in each plan

How to use it

  1. From Billing, click "Change Plan" button
  2. Choose billing frequency using the Monthly/Annual toggle
  3. Compare features across the three plans
  4. Click Upgrade or Downgrade on your desired plan
  5. Confirm the change in the confirmation dialog
  6. Complete checkout on Paddle's secure page

Upgrade vs Downgrade

  • Upgrade: Moving to a higher tier (e.g., Starter → Pro)
- New features available immediately - Prorated charge for the remainder of your billing period
  • Downgrade: Moving to a lower tier (e.g., Pro → Starter)
- Takes effect at the end of your current billing period - Keep your current features until then

Tips for choosing a plan

  1. Check your AI Actions usage - Higher plans include more monthly AI Actions
  2. Consider team size - Higher plans support more prioritized actions per day
  3. Annual billing saves money - 20% discount on all plans
  4. You can change anytime - No lock-in, upgrade or downgrade as needed

Tips

  1. Switch to annual billing to save up to 20% on your subscription
  2. Add backup billing contacts so invoices reach the right people
  3. Monitor AI Actions usage in the Overview tab to avoid running out
  4. Download invoices as PDFs for your accounting records
  5. Update payment method promptly if you see a "Payment Failed" banner

Payment Issues

If you see a Payment Failed banner:

  1. Go to the Payment Method tab
  2. Click "Update Payment Method"
  3. Update your card details on Paddle's secure page

If you see a Subscription Canceled notice:

  • Your access continues until the period end date shown
  • Contact support or re-subscribe to continue using Slokoto

Security & Privacy

  • Slokoto never stores your full card details
  • All payment updates happen on Paddle's secure domain
  • Paddle is PCI DSS compliant
  • Invoice data is synced from Paddle for your convenience
